Hookit™ disc pad, medium density regular, 5 in dia, hook and loop face mount, 5/8-11 int threaded back mounting, 45° taper edge, 1/2 in thickness, 12,000 rpm maximum, for use with: random orbital Sanders. 3M™ Hookit™ disc pad securely holds a 3M™ Hookit™ sanding or finishing disc or 3M™ Finesse-It™ buffing pad for use with a handheld sanding tool such as a rotary orbital or random orbital sander. The 45° tapered edge provides flexibility and allows the sanded area to be feather edged or more easily blended. 3M™ Hookit™ ™ hook and loop feature makes disc attachment, removal and reattachment easy and facilitates use and reuse of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit™ disc pads have j-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook and loop applications. Hookit™ disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M™ Hookit™ discs and provide a finer finish than do adhesive backed discs. The Hookit™ system is designed for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt or flying debris.
