Hookit™ coated abrasive disc, 5 in dia, no hole, p120/medium, aluminum oxide abrasive, YF-weight polyester backing, resin bond, hook and loop attachment, applicable materials: all metal. Our 3M™ Hookit™ cloth disc 359F features a YF-weight cloth backing coated with aluminum oxide mineral for effective grinding during medium and high pressure applications. We engineered our 3M™ Hookit™ cloth disc 359F with a water resistant polyester cloth backing, so it could be run wet or dry. KNown for their durability and flexibility, cloth backed discs are a good first choice when working with metal or heavy wood stock removal. Our disc is resin bonded, enabling it to withstand high heat and pressure. Its ability to withstand high pressure grinding contributes to its extended service life and, subsequently, reduces operating costs. Our 3M™ Hookit™ cloth disc 359F features aluminum oxide mineral. Due to its high cut rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications and is suitable on a variety of substrates. This disc is a great match for paint prep, defect repair or AOEM 3M™ metal finishing. 3M™ offers a complete line of hook and loop style 3M™ Hookit™ discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit™ discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit™ sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook and loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
